To emerge is the very action of moving out of, or away from, something and become visible - is this not how we are all feeling? 

We want and need to re-connect with the world and people, get back to a new kind of normal, but of course with boundaries in place where we feel safe and looked after. And so with these thoughts in mind my Re - Emerge Retreat was born.

There is no better time that the Summer of 2020 to take 3 nights in the UK just for you! Over the 3.5  days (22nd July – 25th July 2020) my team and I will share functional health, fitness  and nutritional concepts with to help you emerge stronger, better informed on health and rejuvenated.

What’s included in your Retreat

  • An exclusively limited group, maximum of 10 guests that allows for social distancing while also being part of a unique group of likeminded , health conscious new friends! 
  • 3 nights accommodation in boutique rooms with en-suite bathrooms* 
  • 2 x daily physical fitness sessions (to accommodate all levels of fitness and injury) to tone the body, build strength & endurance & stimulate fat burn with Gemma, a results-orientated, empathetic and gentle personal trainer
  • 1 x  daily Sunrise (8am) Piyo (Pilates-yoga combo) or guided walk, jog or trot in the beautiful surrounding area of Arundel
  • 3 x daily gourmet vegetarian meals supporting hormones, the gut microbiome and optimising metabolism. All produce is local, organic & sustainably sourced. A herbal tea, fresh herbs and spices and water station is available all day
  • Daily pre-lunch Functional Health information seminars delivered by Tanya to share knowledge and information on gut and digestive health, optimising hormones and best approaches to chronic disease prevention and building immne resilience
  • 2 x afternoon functional health workshops: Thursday's is a cooking demonstration by our holistic chef - John, accompanied by Tanya to back up all nutritional facts. Friday is a fasinatic oppoutuity to learn about how your genes impact: your response to food - gluten (celiac disease), lactose (dairy), and caffeine; your microbiome diversity; metabolism, appetite , inflammation and circadian clocks! as we are joined by functional Genetic experts LifecodeGx
  • Free time to use the pool, sauna (individually) and wander the beautiful grounds or sunbathe with a great book

Tanya holds a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London and is  one of only 25 fully Certified IFM Practitioners in the UK to hold an Institute for Functional Medicine certification. Tanya’s quest for knowledge to best help her clients never stops. To keep updated on the research in her field, she attends numerous medical seminars and conferences, specifically in mitochondrial, autoimmunity and gastrointestinal health. She is currently completing an advanced training programme with renowned autoimmunity and thyroid specialist Dr Datis Kharrazian and travels to the United States at least three times each year to attend postgraduate training to further her knowledge.

Gemma started off her career as a professional contemporary dancer and worked for dance companies across the UK. This prompted a passion for health and fitness and in 2009 Gemma trained to become a personal trainer. She runs her own business in Sussex which specialises in Pre & Postnatal health, fitness and nutrition. Gemma is also a qualified Nutritional Therapist. In her own time, she trains for Marathons and Half-Marathons. 

 

Jon Bayley has worked as a vegetarian and professional catering chef for over 18 years. He was awarded a full bursary to attend the exclusively vegan ‘School of Natural Cookery’ in Colorado, USA and relying heavily on plant foods has been a strict vegetarian for over 20 years. As co-owner of organic vegetarian mobile catering business Natures Plate, John ran kitchens at venues such as Glastonbury Festival and The Green Party Conference. He has worked at many different locations worldwide including the organic & vegan Cafe Prasad, Boulder, USA and was the first apprentice to work at the critically acclaimed raw foods pioneering Saf Restaurant, Shoreditch, London John was the ‘conceptual’ head chef at Aloka, Brighton that received the Vegetarian Society Award 2010 for “Best Eating out – Best of the Rest” category.

Brooklands Barn | Priory Lane, Arundel West Sussex BN18 0BG

You’ll stay in one of 10 bedrooms, all with ensuite shower rooms*. All bedrooms have garden views, quality white bed linen and complimentary Temple Spa toiletries.

Brooklands is a beautifully restored 19th century barn with exposed beams. The central barn offers beautiful open plan living allowing for plenty of different spaces to sit and chat with fellow guests while at the same time allow for social distancing, or of course finding a quite spot for yourself. There is sumptuous seating in the guest lounge, with inglenook fireplace, and an open plan dining area and floor to ceiling windows providing panoramic views of the Arun Valley. A spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine floor, with more seating enabling you to enjoy the views from a different perspective. Doors lead out to paved courtyards for alfresco lunch dining and access to the indoor heated pool, sauna and two acres of Sussex gardens with lawn, maze garden, wildflower meadow and orchards.  *Two rooms share a bathroom so ideal for Mother and Daughter or similar combo.

Travel Arrangements

Train: The mainline rail link is direct from London Bridge Train Station, London Victoria Train Station and also Gatwick Airport. Additionally Ford station is two miles from Arundel, along Ford Road, providing direct services to Brighton.

Car: There is ample parking for 14 cars
